Reading Response 4 - Dillon Marlatt
Reading through the introduction, I am immediately hit in the face with the deep, trudging formal approach of this MIT Press published paper(s). Following through the function, loop, variable, and weird languages chapters of the reading, this beating is reinforced. All these chapters summarized their titles and their history, and that is nice. The introduction delved deeply into history and the culture surround "software studies", which is also nice.
I hope that people who are accustomed to coding found it helpful, it they could get past the threshold of jargon and formalization.
