It is common practice among GIF makers to try and have their work loop seamlessly. If done correctly, the resulting GIF can freeze frame single moments. The GIF I have chosen comes from the movie "American Psycho", where we see the main character, Patrick Bateman, stuck in a loop of jump-roping. Dawn's light silhouetting a clean, sterile, and repetitive morning task and apartment. Those who know what is to come find scenes as like these as not harmless routines but terrifying tension builders.
